Matus Furman (32) has been promoted to an Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. Becoming an Associate is the first step towards being named a Partner.
Matus joined Cushman and Wakefield in 2009 and after 3 years became the Head of Retail Department in Slovak Republic. He focuses on developing business relations with both local and international companies within real estate field. During his career at Cushman & Wakefield, Matus has been responsible for leasing and advisory services of various retail projects within the country, for example, Eurovea, Laugaricio, Korzo Prievidza, Stop Shop, Avion. Matus and his team provides retail services to landlords such as Ikea, Ballymore, Penta, Atrium, Multi Development, and others. Except leasing and re-leasing activity on existing schemes, he is currently focused on two new shopping center developments in Trnava (City Arena) and Poprad (Forum) both opening later this year.
Matus graduated from City University of Seattle where he studied business management. During his study, Matus worked as an Administrative Assistant at the university and as an Assistant Property Manager in TPK Management, Seattle, USA.
